After 17 years as a pharmaceutical scientist, the brewery’s Bad Idea Guy explored other career pathways (as a renowned running and triathlon coach and construction worker, to name a couple) before landing in beer. Make no mistake—he’s no brewer. He loves air conditioning and talking to people too much to deal with that nonsense. But with degrees in biology and organic chemistry, he’s well-versed in the science behind the beer. And he’ll talk about it to anyone who will listen. As a Certified Cicerone, he knows a bit about the stuff beyond the science as well.
You can find him at the tap room most days, petting all the dogs and telling all the stories. But when he’s not around, you might find him on his bike, or at Nacho Mama’s with his lovely wife.
